Indo-German Student’s Exchange Programme

In the year 2006 Max Muller Bhavan and DPS Society had conceived a vision of starting ‘Indo-German Students’ Exchange Programme to foster the bond between Germany and India. This vision laid the foundation of Indo-German Student’s Exchange Programme between DPS Indirapuram and Schloss RealschuleGaildorf Germany, since then, there has been no looking back and we have had 13 successful Exchange Programmes, involving more than 200 students and 43 teachers.

Foreign Language Program

We live in a culturally and linguistically diverse society. Learning a foreign language opens up new perspective to make us the global citizens. Thus DPS Indirapuram offers the choice of 3 Foreign Languages namely German, French and Spanish apart from Sanskrit. This is introduced from class IV onwards. In order to help you choose the most suitable language for the child, a brief information is given about the Foreign Languages taught in our school.

Spanish - Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world.It is the official language of Spain, most Latin American Countries and Equitorial Guinea. Almost 400 million people speak Spanish. It is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Spanish is the third most commonly used language on the internet after English and Chinese.

German: German is the official language in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. It plays an important role as a foreign language in many countries particularly in central and eastern Europe. Almost 20 million people learn German worldwide. Most multinational German companies are represented in India with hundreds of subsidiaries, including well-known names as Bayer, Siemens, Bosch, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen and Lufthansa. For the past thirteen years DPS Indirapuram is successful in conducting Indo German Students’ Exchange program which provides an excellent opportunity to the children to be exposed to the rich cultures of both the countries and gives them a chance to express their pride in their own countries.

 French: The French language is famous worldwide. It is also spoken in many of the countries and is the official language of Francophone countries like Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Senegal, Congo, Luxembourg, Morocco etc. France is also known for its rich culture and civilisation and is a trendsetter for fashion and glamour around the world. It is also known for its design, cosmetics, perfume, chees, wine etc. A number of French companies have ventured into Indian markets as an outcome of better Indo France trade relations. DPS Indirapuram has conducted three “Indo-French” Students’ Exchange program successfully.

Sanskrit: Sanskrit is the oldest and most systematic language in the world. It is also known as “Dev Vaani” or the language of the Gods. Sanskrit is the only language where pronunciation and the composition are exactly the same. Sanskrit literature encompasses a galore of poetry and drama, yet scientific, technical and philosophical text form an integral part of it. Experts are of the opinion that Sanskrit is the best language for computing codes and technical task. No wonder, it is attracting the new generation of the modern world.
