Career counseling is understanding and assessing each student’s individual concerns, strengths, interests, and capabilities, to guide them in making and implementing informed educational and career choices. The process helps in developing an individual’s competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.

Who needs Career Counselling?
Since career development is a lifelong process, Career Counseling can be appropriate for anyone, starting with students from the 8th class. The earlier you get started making intentional decisions about your future, the better prepared you will be!

Career Counselor will:-
• Help you figure out who you are and what you want out of your education, your career, and your life.
• Be someone for you to talk to about your thoughts, ideas, feelings, and concerns about your career and educational choices, who will help you sort out, organize, and make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
• Help you identify the factors influencing your career development, and help you assess your interests, abilities, and values.
• Help you locate resources and sources of career information.
• Help you determine the next step and develop a plan to achieve your goals.

Explore career counseling services:

• Advising 8th and 9th graders on curricular choices, building a system with the teachers to ensure 100% attendance and development of students via club activities, and conducting activities/workshops for students for life skills development and awareness.
• Meeting with 10th and 11th class students, individually and in groups, to talk about possibilities and individual career choices, especially via informational sessions.
• Invite guest faculties, lecturers, professionals to talk about the current trends and future possibilities of careers in various areas
• Collaborate with students of concern to create improvement plans and facilitate their counseling sessions to focus on concern areas.
• Suggest structured experiences for students throughout the year via club participation, including places to volunteer, summer programs, academic courses both in person and online, competitions, research experiences, etc.
• For Class 12th students, it will be a one-stop solution to guide them through the entire college admissions process, counsel students as to seek correct information about colleges, discuss with students individually or in groups which college is the right choice for them, as well as help students complete the required documentation for the application process such as college essays, personal statements, resumes, interview preparation, scholarship applications etc.
